Another useful tip–if you’ve not come across it–is to use Ryan Barrett’s feed tools for Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Google+ to turn your social streams back into linear, non-algorithmic feeds. The Twitter one allows you to get your full feed or sub-feeds via Twitter Lists, which I find highly useful.
