@chrisaldrich@boffosocko.com I’ve seen discussions about this in the past, and I think the hang-up was related to the variety of potentially appropriate emoji, and the range of meanings each of those emoji can have.
That is, ✏️ could signify a post about pencils, but it could also be about the act of writing (e.g. poetry, fiction, journaling, etc), even though this 📝 might be better. And if I’m looking for posts about pencils, I might not think to check posts tagged with 🖋…
On the other hand, it could be argued that anyone looking for a post about pencils might also want to see posts about notebook paper, or poetry, or fountain pen ink tests.
