I’ve gotten 3-4 random comments/questions on my Hypothes.is annotations in the past month (up from roughly 0 over the past year). Is there new functionality I’m not aware of, or is this random chance?

I got sidetracked tonight and jumped into the rabbithole that is Pollen and Racket, which I’ve been tempted to look into for several years for simultaneously publishing both websites and books.
In just a few minutes in a quick demo, I’ve been able to build a local website. This seems a bit easier than I had initially expected, but there’s still a way to go…
Updated my IFTTT/webhook to Micropub workflow so that it’s easier to include progress graphs and data for my book reading updates on my website. #IndieWeb
Getting “follow” webmentions from people adding me to their blogrolls is always fun. (Thanks Chaitanya!) It’s also a nice discovery feature reading through the lists of people I ought to consider following myself.

This looks interesting: The Altadena Public Library has created a “Library of Things”, starting with mobile hotspots and laptops. They plan to expand to include other items like telescopes and virtual reality equipment.
