Watched X-Men (2000) from Disney+
Directed by Bryan Singer. With Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen. In a world where mutants (evolved super-powered humans) exist and are discriminated against, two groups form for an inevitable clash: the supremacist Brotherhood, and the pacifist X-Men.

Rating: ★★★½

The political statements found in entertainment can be interesting. I wonder if the “others side” sees them in the same light?

Watched Air Force One (1997) from Netflix
Directed by Wolfgang Petersen. With Harrison Ford, Gary Oldman, Glenn Close, Wendy Crewson. Communist Radicals hijack Air Force One with The U.S. President and his family on board. The Vice President negotiates from Washington D.C., while the President, a Veteran, fights to rescue the hostages on board.

Rating: ★★★

Watched at home by myself while everyone was out. Interesting to see the dramatic contrast of this fictional president from the 1990’s versus our current president. Gary Oldman is always so solid.
