It's pretty awesome, and the issue currently with the IndieWeb is that at least for some things, only certain themes work with it. Wordpress is particularly suffering from that at the moment.

If you can make it, we’d love to have you join us at IndieWebCamp West this weekend. We’re overdue to build out more functionality for audience, privacy, and safety. Perhaps suggest it as a session if you can join?
unfortunately it’s such short notice, so i’m not going to be able to do a session, but i do idle on #indieweb on freenode and will try to be more involved moving forward. just have been stupidly busy with other things 🙂
