Found out that the #indieweb plugin Bridgy (posts/backfeeds replies/likes from twitter into my site) will attach the featured image of a post to Twitter. Now I want a dedicated “Tweet-through-your-blog WordPress client” app.

I do that! Try Micropub plugin + Syndication Links plugin + Quill or any of the other micropub clients that support posting notes and syndication endpoints.

It dawns on me that I gave a talk at WordCamp Santa Clarita last year and it covers exactly this example, though I didn’t cover the Syndication Links plugin, which gives you the Twitter endpoint portion. The page has a link to the slides if you’d like to follow along and see the example better.
