@tracydurnell I’m still debating a NaNoWriMo project, so I started a new notebook with some writing and outlines that might start moving me in that direction. We’ll see how well I can stick with it?
@chrisaldrich nice! Always fun to have a reason to start a new notebook 😊 Good luck!
One of my friends writes a substantial amount of her NaNo projects on paper and later edits them as she types them up. I just like outlining and brainstorming on paper myself.
Same. I wound up with 3 Lamy Al-stars and some Lamy inks I really like. I keep thinking of buying a “nice” pen but I really kind of like these for what they are.
Ha. Sounds like so many things. I admit I’ve avoided it myself as I’m something of a minimalist so more stuff just doesn’t appeal to me when I really like the pens I have.
@tracydurnell It’s tough bridging the gap between the physical joy of writing on paper and having to do the extra work of eventually getting it into a digital form. There really should be a better solution for this. Maybe I should see if an OCR scanner can handle my handwriting?
@chrisaldrich that would be awesome! I’ve been intrigued by those digital pens that translate as you write, but that negates getting to use fun pens and color inks 🤷♀️
Another possibility could be speech to text – reading your stuff aloud is useful for editing, so maybe that could combine two steps in one versus transcribing.
@chrisaldrich writing anything fun in honor? ✒️

I didn’t know that. I got into fountain pens earlier this year. 😆
What are you using? I picked up a TWSBI Eco-T Mint Blue yesterday in honor of the day.
Twsbi Eco Concrete Grey <F>
Twsbi 580ALR Prussian Blue <EF, F, M>
Twsbi Go <B>
Kaweco Sport Grey <EF>
I discovered I prefer medium nibs and don’t care much for Extra Fine or Bold.

On the collecting front it does help that there seem to be some major stocking and supply chain issues lately.

Yeah. I can’t see myself losing or breaking such a nice pen. I’ll stick to building my ink collection.

Incidentally, through an odd rabbit hole, I’ve recently found fountainpencompanion.com which may only serve to fuel obsessions. #SocialMediaForPens
Thanks! 😂
