I saw a bumper sticker on a car this afternoon that read “Ask Me About My Rich Inner Life”. I think I’m going to have to buy one to put on my zettelkasten. 🗃️

  1. Phyllis Diller Had a Zettelkasten. Used it to store her jokes.
This morning 23 September 2024 on a back street beside an office building here in Sausalito, California, while parking my van, I spotted a bumper sticker on the car in front of me identical to the one you’ve displayed on your post.
ASK ME ABOUT MY RICH INNER LIFE
    Why would I do that?

    1. Thanks for the Diller tip, but I’ve already researched into it as much as I can without going to see it in person.

As for the bumper sticker, they’re not trying to get you to talk to them literally. I’m sure it’s a cultural statement whose intent is to contrast physical materialism with philosophical eudaimonia and “inner richness”. Thus, you’re more likely to see it on an old beater than a brand new Mercedes.
