  1. @chrisaldrich as a hobby woodworker I wonder whether the thick shelf in the background is actual wood, or merely veneered (b/c of the butt joints). I hope it's wood, that'd be very good slabs

    1. It’s solid wood and handmade in the mid-century by our grandfather. I wish all my bookshelves were this solid.
