📺 Chappaquiddick (2017)

Watched Chappaquiddick (2017) from Apex Entertainment
Directed by John Curran. With Jason Clarke, Kate Mara, Ed Helms, Bruce Dern. Depicting Ted Kennedy's involvement in the fatal 1969 car accident that claims the life of a young campaign strategist, Mary Jo Kopechne.
Stunning cast here, but would you expect otherwise from Mary Vernieu? Jason Clark is fantastic. I notice he was born the day before Chappaquiddick. I had to look it up to see that Bruce Dern played papa Joe–stunning. This happened well before I was born, and other than urban lore, I’ve never looked into it much. I’m curious what the generally known facts of the case were and how much was speculation on the part of the film. I’m surprised they didn’t sensationalize more of the potential romantic aspect.
