I’m excited to join Dan Allosso‘s book club on How to Take Smart Notes as a means of turning my active reading, annotating, and note taking into papers, articles and books using Obsidian.md and Hypothes.is.

I have been generating a series of blog posts on this topic for about a month. learningaloud.com/blog/2021/12/0… Folks may find some of the links to be useful.
I’ve been following it for a while and appreciating the incarnations on both H. and your site. 🙂
The MelReads video generated lots of ときめく(tokimeku). ✨
Congrats on the start of month #2.
Do join us if you’re available!
Perhaps. I live in a Minneapolis suburb, but I am in Kauai for the next two months. The topics are obviously of interest. Is this a Zoom meetup or something similar and what is the time?
Did you read the book before or it’s your first time?
I read it quickly during RBC#2 last year. Thought I should give it a more thorough read.
Shared Obsidian vault and weekly meetings Saturdays at 10-11:30 Central
Of course, in fact, I was asking to @ChrisAldrich because we had a long conversation on his blog on note-taking.
I was in RBC2 too, I think. It’s an easy read and not everything is on notetaking.
Oh, sorry
Yes I read it in 3rd quarter of 2020. Doing a quick re-read to see if there’s anything else subtle to pull out of it.
Ok. The start time would be 6 for me. Are the sessions archived? I use Obsidian so I would have note taking notes from research studies to add
I’ve been using @Obsdmd & @zotero for this work to document what and where I’m learning. I stopped using @pinboard…but would like to continue using @hypothes_is
Also using Kindle highlights as well.
I will write about this soon on my blog.
How does one ask to join? @AllossoDan doesn’t DM.
Email me at danallosso@icloud.com
Dan has typically recorded the sessions and posted them to YouTube for those who couldn’t make it (or to review over after the fact.) The Obsidian vault for the group is already live.
Yes, I’ll be recording the Zoom meetings.
