On #FeedReaderFriday I’m adding some of my favorite Mastodon accounts to my microsub account on Aperture so I can easily read and follow them in the social readers I use like Monocle. To me this is the purest form of social media interaction. #IndieWeb

@chrisaldrich Nice. Yes I’m doing similar – made a python script to add all my mastodon follows to a Feedbin folder, and then I generally read them in there. Lovely and peaceful without the temptation to click about the place.
Nice, is that via the RSS feeds Mastodon provides? I’ve found them a bit hit and miss unfortunately
They have been hit and miss haven’t they? I tend for RSS on the most updated servers, but prefer microformats on the older ones that still support it. Such a loss that they’ve gone js;dr.
