Typed index card still sitting in the carriage of a Royal HH typewriter. It reads: 2024-07-21 I've spent big chunks of yesterday ad today cleaning up and making some repairs to my 1955 Royal HH, a stunning example of mid-century engineering genius. As I finished the last parts and started making some typing samples to test the machine out, I found myself typing out the old trope Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party. It has a more resonant tone today as President Joe Biden has made his announcement that he is ending his bid for re-election and giving his support to Kamala Harris.
