  1. Just read this. Sadly, the author doesn’t seem to see the slippery slope or compare it with other things the Chinese government is doing which aren’t quite so clean. Primarily they seem happy with the new cleanliness of bathrooms and the conservation:

    Prior to this, restrooms go through 14 rolls of toilet paper per day. Now, that number has been reduced to only 4 rolls per day.
