This thread makes me wonder when the Hypothes.is team will be allowed to build a layer onto e-reader platforms? Another great idea might be for e-readers and note taking tools to have built-in micropub clients so I can use them to publish to my website or other platforms.

Alas I don’t see what would motivate any of the leading vendors to do that. Real lock-in woes.
1/2 Well, it would be definitely possible for hypothes.is to build an e-reader app for e-readers that run Android (like my @OnyxBoox Note Pro. Unfortunately, I am not sure whether it is coming.There is still no https://t.co/Jx39Jx1f49 app for Android at all (afaik).
