Typed white index card that reads: I've been hunting for a Smith-Corona Silent for my collection for several months. I've come pretty close on several auctions recently, but I've been losing out. Tonight the dry spell has ended and I've purchased an early 50s model in brown with green keys. It looks to be in about as good a condition as any I've seen in months. Even better, I got it for less than half of the average of $55 or more than I've been seeing them go for. Patience really does pay off. The other bonus is that it's an elite machine which I haven't been seeing many of lately.
