Remington Standard in beige-grey with green plastic keys on an executive tanker desk with brown linoleum top. The desk is strewn with boxes and in a messy garage.
Acquired 1956 Remington Standard Typewriter
Serial Number J2714469
Remington #4 Elite w/ No. 2 uncial numbers
gray crinkle paint with green plastic keys
It’s going to need some minor mechanical work and some serious cleaning, but this one has some great potential.

    1. I’m hovering around the number 30, though a few are being de-acquisitioned to make some space… Too many more and I’ll have to open up a typewriter shop.

        1. Happy to help!

If I’m not using them at least once a month, I tend to let them go. There are about 10 that are getting incredibly regular use every week, though a small handful that I’ve restored and more carefully tuned are used on an almost daily basis.

I’d almost forgotten I had aggregated a page for my typewriter collection and articles if you’re curious about the list or other details: https://boffosocko.com/research/typewriter-collection/
