I’ve been thinking about typewriter stationery and carbon copies lately, as has our friend Joe Van Cleave. Has anyone used or had NCR paper stationery made for themselves?
I tried some half-sheet stationery at the International Printing Museum not long ago and that seemed like a lovely way to write and keep copies of typewritten correspondence.
Of course recommendations for designers and printers for personal stationery is welcome here too.
Yep, I’ve got a bunch left over from when I was a job printer. I made stationery for myself with 2-part & 3-part NCR, Results are unimpressive, as NCR isn’t especially good at copies unless you’re writing with a pen, hard, or using a dot-matrix printer. Typewriting tends to be very light on the copies, often unreadable, and you get feed roller stripes down the page. I gave up on it after a few months and switched to scanning my outgoing pages.
