Failed attempt to OwnYourCheckin

The goal of this post was to own my own checkins via foursquare. Alas there’s an issue(s) with the code somewhere, so for those who are seeing this, I’m updating it so you’ll know what happened to the intended post.

If you’re game to try it, give it a shot at https://ownyourcheckin.wirres.net

  1. Thanks for the follow up. I saw the returned 500 server error through the interface, and have spent some time trying to track down the bug. I did some experimenting last night with OwnYourGram as a working example and think I’ve gotten it squared away. I’ll come back later today/tomorrow to see if I can’t get OwnYourCheckin working properly too. Thanks for building it!

  2. the last known micropub attempted by ownyourcheckin (Sun, 03 Apr 2016 04:02:38 GMT), was served with a 500 error by your micropub endpoint. unfortunately i can’t see anything else in the logs. what it seems that the ownyourcheckin micropub server has problems talking to the wordpress micropub implementation. have you tried ownyourgram? the ownyourcheckin code is based on that, so if ownyourgram works, i should be able to fix it.
