Apparently they’re now serving Brussels Sprouts for a limited time? They looked delicious, but are likely covered in a bit too much butter from what I saw, so maybe not as healthy a choice as one might like. Of course I had the Santa Barbara Char burger, so what do I know about healthy?!
Some Valentines Day book shopping. Got a copy of an Illustrated version of Harry Potter 3, Roald Dahl’s Matilda (The Chocolate Cake edition), and some Japanese magnetic bookmarks as well as some assorted cards.
Their German History section has only one book
Both the Wheat Shop and the restaurant next to it have been closed for a few weeks now. I wonder what will move in to take their places?
A great talk about the importance of design in building almost anything, but particularly companies. The take away: while it may be somewhat more expensive to hire the people and do the work in the beginning, the ultimate products and the company will be measurably better off for it in the long run.
I stayed after until almost noon having an extended discussion with Robbie about a handful of design related topics including IndieWeb.org.
