Rating:

Watched with my friend Dave Harris while he was on Spring break.

This was a fantastic action flick with a great female empowerment theme underlying the plot. It’s interesting to note that there were really only three white males in the entire film outside of background players. One was co-lead at best and the other two had smaller supporting roles. All the rest of the cast were women, people of color, and “aliens”. Definitely fits into the time period in which we live, but where have movies like this been all these years?

Quote of the year at the end: “I have nothing to prove to you.”

The scenes with the cat were just too awesome even though I completely saw it coming.

The show has gone downhill a lot. They just haven’t gotten any chemistry at all. There isn’t anything interesting about any of the judges. The level of the contestants has slipped in comparison to prior years as well.
