After helping to implement and post the first “Read posts” within WordPress using the W3C Webmention spec yesterday, I really can’t wait to see what the WordCamp for Publishers: Chicago begins announcing for their upcoming lineup on the topic “Take Back the Open Web.”
Most promising to me is that this WordCamp actively, purposely, and contemporaneously quoted Drupal founder Dries Buytaert in their announcement right after he began contemplating POSSE vs. PESOS and other IndieWeb philosophies.Syndicated copies to:
I just submitted a workshop/presentation proposal to WordCamp for Publishers: Chicago (Aug 8-10) on the topic of applying IndieWeb principles and new W3C recommended open web standards to publishing. I’m particularly excited because their theme is “Taking Back The Open Web”!

Hi everyone! Just a reminder that today is THE LAST DAY to submit session proposals for WordCamp for Publishers (Aug 8-10 in Chicago). If you work in news/media with WordPress in any capacity, we want to hear from you! https://t.co/fgE0L0bkif— Adam Schweigert (@aschweig) May 3, 2018
