Professional Elite No. 41 typeface, 11 pitch, 2.3m/m, 6 lines/inch, bichrome, carriage shift, tabulator
American keyboard, 44 keys, 88 characters
green crinkle paint, black plastic keys
Manufactured in Wilhelmshaven, Germany
Found at The Predecessors while typewriter hunting in Anacortes, WA. It was paired with another similar green Olympia SM3, but I immediately picked this one up because of its beautiful and uncommon typeface.
It’ll need several new parts including rubber, but this portends to be a fantastic typewriter.

Holy Moses
That’s fantastic
That is so appealing
Nice find!
Fun to think about who would order such a thing. Was it a pharmacist who wanted more legible print for small pill bottle labels? Maybe an engineering firm who used it for their blueprints? Or was it Susie Homemaker who just wanted a pretty typeface for her letters?
What a BEAUTY!
One day I’ll obtain a machine like this beauty
Way to go !
Oh my GOD.
I picked up a grey SM3 with Professional Elite in Salt Lake City. It’s one of my favorite typefaces and I obviously haven’t got it on the database yet
Oh wow i need one of these, the typeface is beautiful !
What a pretty typeface!
I picked up an SM4 with the same typeface and I love it so, so much.
Interesting that it’s bichrome. The lower case j and y appear scootched up a bit to keep out of the red.
This is not my era but that typeface is so WONDERFUL that I now want one. Wow. Just perfect.
