This episode is a little less interesting because it features a big event, but at a venue at which the same sort of event is done on a daily and even annual basis. Thus more of the emphasis of the piece is put onto the handful of characters that are participating in the event itself. It was also tough to get into a bit knowing in advance that there was a triple crown winner in 2018 and so the build of of tension just wasn’t there at all for me.

Directed by Michael John Warren. The Eleven Madison Square Park restaurant is the number one ranked restaurant in the world. Following audacious renovation plans the staff work to maintain the level of quality the world has come to expect.
An interesting documentary series, but I think I can tell from the titles of some of the episodes that some are going to be more interesting to me than others.
While this one paints perhaps an overly rosy picture, it’s interesting to see some of the work behind pushing a major restaurant into existence. I might have liked to have seen 7 weeks out to have a better view of what was going on here too.

Directed by Charles Braverman. With Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering. Brenda throws a slumber party and invites Kelly, Donna and Andrea over for the night. But the evening turns sour when Kelly's bad girlfriend, Amanda Pacer, crashes the party and plays a game which brings out secrets that threaten the friendships between all of them. Meanwhile, Brandon and Steve go out together for a night of cruising and club hopping in which they end up getting duped by two ...
An awkward, likely unrealistic plot, but it makes for a relatively interesting teachable set of moments. I wonder what the post-modern Twitter version would look like?

Meanwhile, Brenda develops a crush on her math teacher which affects her even more when she's asked to baby-sit for his two wild children for the evening in which Brenda asks Kelly and Donna to tag along with her.

And now I’m pulled in… Fortunately these episodes seem a bit like stilted, but more advanced after school specials, with low production values (watching on a widescreen HDTV doesn’t help), so I’ll quit soon enough.

Pouring one out for the passing of Luke Perry by watching some old reruns. I’m pretty sure I never watched any of the season one episodes.
And sadly Luke Perry wasn’t in the pilot episode (93 minutes) and didn’t appear until episode two.
