👓 IndieAuth for WordPress | David Shanske
Part of my own project for this week, while taking off for the holiday, was to complete work on an Indieauth endpoint for WordPress.
IndieAuth is layer on top of OAuth 2.0, a standard that grants websites or applications access to their information on other websites but without providing passwords.
OAuth is already being used by a variety of services…Login with Facebook or Login with Google options on sites are usually OAuth based. The difference is that for IndieAuth, users and clients are all represented by URLs.
This is awesome! I can’t wait to use my own website to authenticate myself.

But although most party officials have embraced the president only half-heartedly, Republican voters seem to have far fewer reservations.

❤️ gawanmac tweetstorm about church in the North Downs
Great photo-story on Twitter this morning. Click through for the rest:
I saw this on an OS map and couldn’t not investigate. A place of worship symbol in the middle of bloody nowhere on the edge of a wood. It was a foggy, atmospheric day up on the North Downs, so I decided to walk three sides of a square through the wood to reach it. pic.twitter.com/R47CTs9Mg2

🎧 ‘The Daily’: Congress vs. Mark Zuckerberg | The New York Times
The Facebook chief faced tough questions on the mishandling of data. But a larger, more difficult question hung over his testimony: What is Facebook?
Painful to listen to how inept the questions were. How exactly do these people represent us? Was there no preparation at all? Even reading a few front page articles in the past two weeks would have better prepped them for questions than what we got.
